Been busy as usual around our place. Hubby had drill over the weekend and on Saturday we had a little army picnic at the armory. Grayson wasn't very happy so we didn't get to stay but maybe half hour. I felt bad but he wasnt having it. On Sunday Wyatt came down with something nasty! We had lil John over, his daddy is in hubbys unit. It started out good, but then around 9-10 am buddy grabbed a blanket and went to lay on the couch. Red Flag, not normal for him to take a nap in the morning without being forced. So i knew right away he was sick. I took his temp and it was 105!! Holy!! Did the quick cool bath and meds and got it down to 101, and there is where is stuck. As soon as the meds would wear off it would shoot right back up to 104 to 105. Once hubby and John got home we brough Wyatt into the ER and they did labs and tested for strep, being his tonsils were huge and red. Nothing showed up so they put him on an antibiotic just in case it was something in the works to try and stop the spread of it so it didnt make its way to Grayson. *remember his ANC levels are super LOW*

"Dear Emma, This is the only time I (or your dad) will allow you to lay next to a boy. Love, mommy & Daddy"

He started feeling better the next day, but then of course Emma woke up with a temp. Hers was only around 101. She was super crabby and she also had a trip to the doctor. She had an ear infection so she is also on an antibiotic. The only one that isnt is Grayson! Seems sooo odd being hes the one that is immune compromised lol. But once again, hes a fighter! In between the chaos we took a quick trip to the park :)

Today we took a trip back to the Joke Joint Comedy Club and met Steve Campos, Tammy Nerby, and Suzi Kissinger and they presented us with our check from the benefit on the 17th. They are super nice people and we are so blessed to have met such amazing and caring people along our journey. We cant say Thank You enough to all those that have helped out our family in one way or another. Thank You!!! And of course a huge thank you to those that took the time and effort to make the benefit happen. We love you all <3
This is the pic of us being presented with the check. Every little bit helps and we are so thankful for such caring donations!!
And being the camera freak I am, I really loved the backdrop and used it as a photo op :)

Grayson goes in for round 8 (round 6 of chemo). We were told last week that being his ANC level was so low that this week he may be too low to get the chemo. He will still need to go in and get the labs done to see where the levels are and still gets the Vincristine push. He also has his first day of physical therepy tomorrow. Being that Wyatt came down with some bad "virus" last week we arent sure if we want them going to daycare  tomorrow and chancing them picking something else up. Im really leaning towards them not going, but then that leaves the horrible decision of who will go with Grayson. We both want to so its hard to make that decision...blah!

Was a really stressful day today, ugh for Thursdays...SO over them! Grayson started back on chemo today and he was crabby and fought with us the whole appointment.
Been busy working on orders tonight so far, trying to get caught back up and almost there ;) I didnt do anything last week because I spent almost all my time feeding Grayson lol. I just hated that he had lost so much weight and I seriously obsessed about it. Feeding him anything and everything I could lol. But like I said on the caring bridge, my work paid off nicely ;)

This is just how happy he was today, blah!

Well guess what? Grayson and our family were on the news yesterday. They did a little story on our family and what we are going through. They also talked about the benefit that was done for us last night at the Joke Joint Comedy Club in Lilydale. Which by the way was simply amazing! The comedians were sooooo funny! It was just a great night and we are so thankful to have such caring people that are willing to help our family. We cant thank you all enough, really! Here is a link to the News Story and you can see a video of us hehe. :)

I also want to say Thank You to all those that read the blog. You and your comments really help me get through some tough days that's for sure. I love hearing from you all so feel free to leave comments when ya got time ;)

Grayson has been doing good. The last appointment was just the vincristine push and that went great (well as great as it can). Hes lost too much weight so he is now on an appetite stimulant so he can gain back some weight. Today hes been eating like a lil piggy which we LOVE! I had to make a trip to the store to get some more baby food lol! Grayson seems to keep those down great so we will need to go and get a ton of the baby foods again.
He starts up with the chemo again on Thursday and will be going 4 weeks on that and 2 weeks off for a while.  Also hes lost a lot of hair now :(
But hes still damn cute! LOL he was mad at me in this pic! I was trying to "help" him eat and he was not having that! He wanted to do it all by himself, which is awesome but of course mommy wants to help :)

Went to the park today and took some pics of Emma and Grayson. We weren't out long. Grayson has a rash that showed up today on his chest. It kind of looks like a possible heat rash but its so hard to tell whats normal and whats not with him anymore. It maybe my fault, he always seems cold lately so at his morning nap I covered him every time he took the blanket off (he usually wont sleep with one on). So maybe he gets too hot. Guess we will see.
Buddy fell the other day and got a horrible black eye! Hes been really clumsy lately and been napping well so I'm pretty sure hes going through some kind of growth spurt. He falls all the time and trips over almost everything, even his own feet lol! Poor dude, think this is his second black eye and its sure a good one! It was horrible, he was walking into the house and ended up falling and well then cheek bone met the edge of the cement step. Yeah, not pretty! He doesn't like to talk about it. He just says "SHH! Its better!" Lol!
Today Grayson wouldn't eat again. I tried a bunch of different things but he didn't want to try anything. He was at 99.3 today so I'm hoping the fever isn't trying to make another appearance! Not cool!

Well as most of you know, Grayson ended up back in the hospital on Friday the 8th. He had a high fever and low counts so he got an IV put in right away and given another dose of the strong antibiotics. They checked him from head to toe and drew blood for labs. The doctor checked for a blood infection and had mentioned that Grayson was sure a sick boy. If his counts were lower he would be on the verge of neutropenia and that is almost always a mandatory hospital stay.

So hubby took his 3 days off work already this week and today he had to go back. Grayson still isn't back to normal but has since broke his fever. It broke sometime yesterday and hes slowly starting to come around and wanting to eat. He is drinking better and I even got him to eat almost a whole jar of carrots (4oz).  Progress! I am soooo behind on sleep and just feel as if I have been run over by a truck. Hope I dont start getting sick. :/ well goodnight for now :)

Today was another Thursday, which means doctor day. Grayson had a fever and we have to watch him closely or its going to be a hospital stay. Hoping the antibiotic that he got in the clinic today will help him fight off whatever it is and he is better by the AM. A hospital stay doesn't sound very pleasant!

Buddy took a digger today and gave himself a nice shiner. He tripped and fell hitting his cheek on the edge of the cement step outside the door. It puffed up nicely! Im sure he will wake up with a big black eye tomorrow morning.

Before....                                                                                   After!

Grayson was really crabby tonight and Buddy doesn't understand why he is so sick. He still tries to play with Grayson but Grayson just gets mad. So I took buddy to the park after dinner and he had a blast. On the way back to the house he ran through a friends sprinkler for a good half hour lol! We hadn't talked to them in a few weeks so it was nice to catch up. I met them through the Yellow Ribbon and her and her husband had came over a few times to help around the house. Super nice people! They even had a birthday present for Emma and Grayson, how cute of them! Buddy was so funny, he wouldn't go all the way through the sprinkler...just get close enough to get a few sprinkles lol. Oh and he took everything except his diaper off! LOL! So silly!

The days seem to be more stressful then the week prior, and I didn't think that was possible! Grayson sure has been sick! From now on almost ALL of Graysons updates will be given via his Caring Bridge web page that I have set up. I know I said I wasn't going to set one up but I feel like it is the easiest and that way we can have others log in to give updates for us :)
Click the logo below to head on over, you will need to fill out some info in order to continue to his cute little page :) to search for his page, it is graysonbarry

Here are some pics from the last week.

Emma and Buddy were sick so it was just Grayson and I at this last appointment. He did pretty well, and even napped after the port access was done and of course woke up as the chemo arrived lol.

Made this shirt for him, he truly is the toughest lil kid i know!
Breakfast of champions...er children with cancer....
all sweaty at the parade on the 4th of July!
Little Miss 4th of July :)

Sure Missing the GIRLS! They are having a blast with Grandpa and Wanda though, so I'm not too worried. They wouldn't be doing much of anything here. We don't usually get to do much being Grayson can not be in the sun.
For the fourth we did watch a little bit of the parade and that was the extent of our 4th. Grayson was sick and crabby so we ended up not even going to see the fireworks... so sad! I love watching them!
